Design and Copywriting

You’re website’s design is a very important aspect of maintaining your business. It’s the impression you digitally leave on a customer when they visit your site. Imagine you’re fishing. Dangling a worm will attract the fish, but you need a hook to catch it!

There are a few aspects of web design that are very important to consider. The first and most important is the copy. Copy is any written words that presents or markets your product or service. Whether you’re talking about IT consulting, selling muffins, or writing a cooking blog, etc., you need to establish your brand’s tone. You need to be able to articulate the product you’re selling. If not, you lose authority over your brand.

SEO and UI/UX

Following the copywriting, then comes SEO (Search Engine Optimization). This is incredibly important for growing your business, both locally and globally. This involves the process of tailoring the copy of your site to appeal to Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, or other search engines in the SERP hierarchy (SERPs being the websites listed below the map and ad sites). This allows people to find your business better when they search ‘Fine Teas in Cincinnati’.

Last but not least, UI/UX design. Let’s break this down. UI stands for user interface. This is where the computer and the human interact. For example, buttons, floating headers, and whether links open tabs in other tabs or the current one are all things to consider. Whether these features work or don’t depends on the UI. UX, also known as user experience, is how the interaction between the computer and user feels. Is the feature more of a hindrance than a help? Whether the system feels smooth and works well is important in deciding if customers want to return to your site. Together, UI and UX work to make the website feel good and keep your customers amazed!
